ST. PETER, Minn.—Bethel University men's tennis had their first match following their Hawaii spring break trip Saturday morning against Gustavus Adolphus College. The Royals (4-5, 1-3 MIAC) traveled to St. Peter but were unable to come home with a win as they fell 1-8 to the Gusties (11-5, 4-0 MIAC).

The Royals lone match win came in the No. 1 singles match as
Hunter Fernelius pulled out a 1-6, 7-6(4), 10-7 victory.
Zach Kantor nearly forced a third set tiebreaker in the No. 2 singles match. After dropping the first set 0-6 Kantor bounced back in the second, tying it 6-6 but was unable to complete the comeback as the score finished at 6-7(4).

The men's tennis team will look to put this one behind them and bounce back in their next match with University of Northwestern Wednesday, April 4. The match will be just down the road at UNW's campus at 4 p.m. The Eagles sit at 5-7 on the season thus far.
