Hannah Johnson became Bethel's second player this season to receive D3hoops.com Team of the Week honors this past Monday. Johnson, who averaged 20.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 5.5 blocks in BU's two wins over St. Olaf and Saint Mary's, joins
Abby Miller as a recipient of this national award.
The Duluth, Minn., native began her week with 13 points and five rebounds in just 20 minutes played against St. Olaf on Wednesday evening. She then concluded with a 24-point, 14-rebound, and 10-block affair against Saint Mary's on Saturday. Johnson was 13-of-18 from the floor and 2-of-2 from the free throw stripe.Â
The award is Johnson's first Team of the Week, however, she was voted MIAC women's basketball player of the week for the fifth time this season and sixth in her career on Monday, Feb. 5. Johnson and the Royals have another tough week, as they travel to St. Paul on Wednesday to take on Hamline University and to St. Peter on Saturday to take on Gustavus Adolphus College.Â
