Royals Host Gene Glader Classic

RESULTS

ARDEN HILLS, Minn. - There's no place like home. On Saturday, the Bethel Royals hosted the Gene Glader Classic and competed against Augsburg, Minnesota-Morris, Viterbo, UW-Stout, Northwestern-St. Paul, Crown, and the Minnesota Running Club.

"The Gene Glader brings an awesome atmosphere for us," says Head Coach Andrew Rock. "The culture of this team and university is so supportive and that was evident today by the alumni, family, and friends at the meet. Our ladies have worked hard thus far, and they were able to show what the fruits of their labor."

The Royals kept many of the top-three awards on in the hands of the home team:

1st place

• 200m - Delia Labatt (25.80)

• 400m - Erin Alpers (1:01.12)

• 600m - Sara Wegner (1:44.72)

• 800m - Anna Hage (2:24.66)

• Mile - Annika Halverson (5:13.02)

• 4x200m Relay - Delia Labatt, Hannah Sankey, Kelby Olson-Rodel, AddieKay Johnson (1:46.26)

2nd place:

• 200m - Hannah Sankey (26.33)

• 600m - Brook Sunderman (1:46.75)

• 800m - Lydia Herath (2;27.56)

• Mile - Lindsay Johnson (5:34.24)

• High Jump - Geneva Bayse (1.42m/4'7.75")

• Long Jump - Syri Williams (4.92m/16'1.75")

3rd place:

• 200m - AddieKay Johnson (26.49)

• 60m Hurdles - Syri Williams (9.78)

• Weight Throw - Amy Nelson (12.35m/40'6.25")

Bethel will hit the road next week and travel south to Grinnell College in Iowa. They compete on Saturday, February 10th.
