Chris McKelvie and the visiting Blugolds spoiled the night for Bethel by scoring three goals in the first period, two more in the second and another in the third. The 4-0 Blugolds outshot Bethel 35-12.
The Royals are back in action at Bethel University Arena on Saturday night against another top-ranked team in No. 4-ranked Wisconsin-Stevens Point at 7 p.m.
