BLAINE, Minn. – The Bethel University men's hockey team was defeated by No. 14-ranked UW-Eau Claire by a 7-0 score Friday night. It was the home opener for the Royals under first-year head coach Chris McKelvie and the visiting Blugolds spoiled the night for Bethel by scoring three goals in the first period, two more in the second and another in the third. The 4-0 Blugolds outshot Bethel 35-12.
 
The Royals are back in action at Bethel University Arena on Saturday night against another top-ranked team in No. 4-ranked Wisconsin-Stevens Point at 7 p.m.
