BLAINE, Minn. - The Bethel University men's hockey team fell behind early and were unable to catch up in an 8-2 defeat at the hands of the University of Wisconsin-Superior. The Yellowjackets scored three in the first and second periods before adding two more in the third while Bethel tallied once in both the second and third periods. For the game the shot total was an even 32-32 while both teams had five power plays with UWS converting twice and Bethel failing to score on the advantage.
Dylan Webster and
Jeff Flicker scored the Royals goals.
Jackson Purvis and
Oliver Trachsel assisted on Webster's goal which came in the second period and
Kurtis Redding assisted on Flicker's third period score.
Bethel will now take on the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Saturday night at 7 p.m. in Bethel University Arena.
