Men's Golf Gets Final Tune-Up Before MIAC Championships

ELK RIVER, Minn. — Bethel University's men's golf team got its final tune-up of the season before next weekend's MIAC Championship meet as the Royals competed in the Twin Cities Classic over the weekend. The abbreviated contest, which welcomed 13 teams, was hosted at both the par-72, 6,989-yard Links at Northfork and the par-72, 6,560-yard Elk River Country Club.
Noah Bragg led BU once again with a two-day total of 150. His six-over par finish placed him in a tie for 14th out of 75 total golfers. Right behind him was newcomer
Noah Frobom, who carded a pair of 77's for a total of 154.
Jon Espe and
Sam Jenson each recorded a score of 157 and
Dallas Marvin rounded out the top five with an overall total of 163.
Luke Berger's 76 on Saturday highlighted Bethel's second team.
The Royals, who have posted top three finishes in each of the last four years, will begin the MIAC Championship on Saturday, September 30 at Ridges at Sand Creek at 11 a.m. BU will then tee off Sunday at 10 a.m. and then on Monday at 9 a.m.
