Men's Golf Fires 627 at Saint John's Invitational

SAUK CENTRE, Minn. — Bethel University's men's golf team finished their latest meet with a team score of 627 at the two-day, two-course 2017 Saint John's Fall Invitational. The Royals fired a 310 at the par-72, 6,992-yard Blackberry Ridge Golf Club on Saturday, September 16 and followed with 317 at the par-72, 7,059-yard Greystone Golf Course on Sunday, September 17.

Noah Bragg led the Royals for the third straight meet, manufacturing a two-day score of 149. Bragg was one shot off the lead following Saturday's round of 18, but his 78 Sunday dropped him back to a tie for eighth. Behind Bragg was Noah Frobom, who tallied a pair of 79's for an overall score of 158. Jon Espe and Sam Jenson rounded out Bethel's Top 4 scores both days, as the two each shot an 82 and 78 on opposite days.

BU's season continues next weekend at the Twin Cities Classic, hosted by Gustavus Adolphus College at the Links at Northfork, Elk River Country Club, and Ridges at Sand Creek. The three day invitational will be Bethel's final tuneup before the MIAC Championships hosted back at Ridges at Sand Creek on September 30-October 2.
