Bragg's Double Eagle Highlights Busy Weekend for Men's Golf

Gopher Invitational | Frank Wrigglesworth Blugold Invitational

Bethel University's men's golf program was very busy Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, September 9-11 as the team had ten golfers participating in two separate meets. Playing as individuals in the Gopher Invitational hosted by the University of Minnesota was Noah Bragg and Ben Tucker, while Dallas Marvin, Noah Frobom, Aaron Johnson, and Zac Nelson played as a team at the Frank Wrigglesworth Blugold Invitational hosted by UW-Eau Claire. Sam Jensen, Luke Berger, and Spencer Kronbeck also played as individuals at the Blugold Invite.

Noah Bragg put together three quality rounds at the Gopher Invitational, which resulted in a 75 Saturday, 73 Sunday, and 74 Monday. Bragg's 6-over par finish helped him finish 12th out of 27 golfers, which was comprised of mainly all Division I players. The highlight to Bragg's weekend was a double-eagle Monday at the par-5, 558-yard ninth hole. Bragg holed out on his second shot from 245 yards out.

Also having a nice weekend for the Royals was Dallas Marvin, Noah Frobom, Aaron Johnson, Jon Espe, and Sam Jenson at the Blugold Invitational. The five of them finished within three strokes of one another, as all finished among the Top 36 golfers (94 total). Marvin led the group with a two-day score of 155, including a 75 at the par-72, 6,750-yard Wild Ridge Golf Course on Sunday. Frobom dropped four strokes from Sunday to Monday and finished with a 156, highlighted by Monday's 76 at the par-71, 6,705-yard Eau Claire Country Club.
