Bethel University's Kolin Kiekhoefer was voted MIAC Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week last week after defeating his opponent from Macalester at No. 2 singles 6-2, 6-1 and his doubles opponent 8-0. Kiekhoefer has proven himself to be Mr. Consistent for the Royals all season long, as he has gone 15-1 at No. 2 singles during his senior year. During Bethel's big win over the Scots, five out of the sixth singles matches went to a third-set tie-breaker, but Kiekhoefer defeated his opponent quickly in straight sets. Bethel's win over Macalester proved to be the program's first over the Scots in Head Coach Drew Fernelius' tenure. Following the win, Bethel now stands alone in fourth place.
