Baseball (Box Score 1 | Box Score 2)

Bethel's baseball team started spring break right where they left off their season—with a pair of wins. Now 6-1 overall, BU earned a 7-4 victory over Pitt.-Bradford in Saturday's opener and later defeated the Panthers by a final score of 10-1. Right fielder Michael Wesner finished 4-for-7 at the plate with one double, two runs, and two RBI. Noah Luedtke and Michael Willman each recorded a win on the bump while Carson Selin logged his second save of the year in game one. Perhaps the most thrilling play of the day was a defensive triple play in game two. Bret Neuville caught a line drive at first base, threw to Esteban Velasco at second base, who threw to John Horner back at first. The Royals are back in action Sunday, March 12, when they face Washington College at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. (ET). Following Sunday's twin bill, Bethel faces the Minnesota Twins Rookie Team Monday, March 13 at Field One (behind the academy) of the Lee County Sports Complex.
**Fans attending that game are encouraged to enter the complex through the back gate on Plantation Road and let the attendant know that they are not there for the Twins spring training game.

Men's Golf

The men's golf team departed Minnesota today and traveled to Conway, South Carolina, which is about 20 minutes north of Myrtle Beach. The Royals will be taking on Coastal Carolina in a match-play event later this week.

Women's Golf

The women's golf team used Saturday as a practice day in preparation for their meet against Flagler College later this week. The Royals played Palencia Country Club in St. Augustine, Florida, which is about 30 minutes south of Jacksonville.

Softball (Box Score 1 | Box Score 2)

Bethel's softball team got their spring break started on the right foot, winning their first game of the trip against Webster University by a final score of 4-2. Wendy Roberts was the highlight of the game for BU, as the junior finished 4-for-4 with two runs batted in. Jana Roste went 2-for-3 with one RBI and two runs scored as well. Anna Nichols pitched a complete game and got the win, striking out four. The Royals improved to 1-2 handing Webster University (10-1) their very first loss of the season.

Men's and Women's Tennis

Today was a practice day for the men's and women's tennis teams, who are staying and playing around Kissimee, Florida. Both teams will take on Cornell College Sunday evening at 6:30 p.m.
