ARDEN HILLS, Minn.—The Bethel University women's basketball team won their seventh consecutive game after defeating the College of Saint Benedict 75-65 Saturday afternoon. The Royals (17-4, 12-2 MIAC) received a huge performance from sophomore post player Hannah Johnson, which proved to be the difference in the weekend victory over the Blazers (13-8, 9-5 MIAC).
Johnson, who recorded 14 points, 10 rebounds, and seven blocks in Wednesday's 96-61 victory at Carleton (who had won five straight), came back with a game-high 24 points, 12 rebounds, and two blocks against CSB—a team ranked No.4 among MIAC opponents coming into Saturday's game.

Johnson was part of a Bethel offense that continued to shoot with great efficiency, as the Royals finished shooting 24-of-51 (47.1 percent) from the floor and 5-of-9 (55.6 percent) from outside the 3-point arc Saturday.
Taite Anderson aided BU with 12 points and seven boards, while Jasmin Bretoi added 11 points on 2-of-3 shooting from downtown. Angie Kirchoff chipped in seven points, five assists, and four rebounds in32 minutes. In total, six players on the Bethel roster scored seven points or more. Moreover, Johnson, Anderson, Bretoi, and Abby Miller—who tallied nine points— finished a combined 18-of-21 from the free throw line.
The Royals tough stretch in the schedule continues Wednesday evening, when they welcome Saint Mary's University to Arden Hills for a midweek matchup. BU and the Cardinals are scheduled to tipoff at 7 p.m.
