BLAINE, MInn. - The Bethel University women's hockey team was once again defeated at the hands of Augsburg College by a score of 4-1 in the matinee finale Saturday afternoon at Bethel University Arena. Much like Friday night, the Royals were able to compete with the MIAC leading Auggies for the first part of the game, but some unfortunate bounces proved to be crucial down the stretch.
Sarina Goos scored midway through the second period to even the score at 1-1, but after that it was all Auggies.
The loss marks the fourth in a row for the Royals dropping their record to 6-7-2 and 3-3-2 in the MIAC. Augsburg improves to 10-5 on the season and 7-1 in the MIAC. Bethel's next home game will be Friday, January 20th as the Royals host the Blazers from Saint Benedict. Puck drop is at 7pm.
