NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The Bethel University hockey team fell by a 4-0 score on the road Friday night to the St. Olaf College Oles. St. Olaf scored ten seconds into the game and then added three more goals in the third period to capture their first MIAC win of the season. The loss dropped Bethel out of a tie for second place and into a tie for fifth place in the standings.

Bethel outshot St. Olaf on the night by a 21-18 count but the Oles were the ones able to find the back of the net. Both teams had three power play opportunities with St. Olaf scoring once.

The loss drops Bethel to 9-9-2 and 7-4-2 in the MIAC while St. Olaf improved to 2-17-1 and 1-11-1 in the MIAC. The Royals will look to rebound Saturday afternoon as they host the Oles and all Bethel women's hockey alumni for alumni day at 3 p.m. in Bethel University Arena.
