#2 UW-River Falls Downs Bethel

RIVER FALLS, Wis. – The Bethel University women's hockey team saw a tight game with the No. 2-ranked University of Wisconsin-River Falls turn into a blowout as the Falcons scored seven unanswered goals over the last 43 minutes of the game to win 7-1. The Royals, looking for revenge after last Saturday's loss to UWRF, scored the games first goal at 4:37 in the first period but that would be the lone highlight for Bethel. The Falcons used several power play opportunities to their advantage, scoring three of their next four goals on the power play.

After the first period ended at 1-1 the Falcons scored twice in the second and added four more in the third period to pull away. UWRF outshot Bethel 53-13 for the game. Maggie Straka made 46 saves for the Royals.

Bethel will next suit up on Friday, November 11th as they host Saint Mary's University in the first MIAC series of the year as the Royals being their defense of their MIAC regular season championship from a year ago. The Royals and Cardinals will face off at Bethel University Arena at 7 p.m.
