New 2015 ScheduleARDEN HILLS, Minn. – While winter has lingered in some southern parts of the country, spring is looking to come early to Minnesota, which has created a major schedule change for the Bethel University baseball team. The Royals were originally scheduled to take on the University of Wisconsin-Stout and UW-Superior in Marion, Illinois in a five-game weekend at Rent One Park. A snow and ice storm that dumped as much as six inches of precipitation in Marion on Wednesday forced the cancellation of that plan but, the forecasted temperatures in Minnesota of 40's and maybe even 50's early next week has provided the opportunity for a new, local schedule to be formed.
The Royals will take on the Blue Devils from UW-Stout on Monday at 2 p.m. in a doubleheader at the University of Northwestern, just two miles down Snelling Avenue from Bethel. Northwestern is debuting their brand new artificial turf field this spring and the Eagles are currently on their spring break trip to Florida. Tuesday, Bethel will take on UW-Superior in another doubleheader scheduled to start at 4 p.m., also at Northwestern.
Fans need to know that there will be no bleachers available at the field and restrooms will only be available across the road at the Erickson Center on the UNW campus. Bethel University sports information will provide live stats for both doubleheaders. The link for live stats can be found
