The Bethel University women's hockey team enters the first weekend of MIAC play in search of their first victory of the season and they will be attempting to do so with historically one of their toughest MIAC opponents in the Saint Mary's University Cardinals. The last time these two teams faced off was in the opening round of the MIAC playoffs with the Royals crushing the Cardinals 7-1. The win in Winona was just the third in the last decade for Bethel as the Cardinals have been one of the toughest opponents for Bethel during that span despite only making three appearances in the MIAC playoffs to Bethel's seven. Friday nights contest will begin at 7 p.m. in the Saint Mary's Ice Arena before the two teams head north to Blaine and Bethel University Arena on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m.
