Royals Suffer 2 Game Set Back Against UW-La Crosse

ARDEN HILLS, Minn. - Sunday's weather was tough, and so were the Eagles of UW-La Crosse. The Royals were shutout in both games of the double header, going down 10-0, and 2-0.

In game 1 the Eagles put up big innings in the 3rd, 5th, and 7th innings. Keaton Schut pitched 4.1 innings, giving up 7 hits and 7 runs, striking out 6. The Royals did pick up 4 hits in the game, but were unable to convert them into runs.

Despite strong pitching in game 2, errors hindered the Bethel cause. The Royals commited 6 errors in game 2 creating 2 unearned runs for La Crosse. Matt Pearson threw 5.2 innings for Bethel giving up 5 hits, while striking out 3. The Royals had a difficult time getting on base in the second game as they were only able to earn 2 hits.

The Royals are scheduled to play Concorida College on Tuesday at 1 p.m. This game was originally slated for play on Saturday, but has been moved twice due to weather concerns.
