ARDEN HILLS, Minn. - The Bethel Men's Tennis team was taking on fellow MIAC opponent, Hamline University Tuesday afternoon at the Ona Orth Athletic Complex and fell just short of a victory.
The Royals had strong performances from
Tucker Morris,
Kent Nichols, and
Matt Hallstrom. All of which defeated their opponents in singles player to help put Bethel in position to win the match.
Unfortunately,
David Leafblad and
Sam Scheevel would collect the only win for the Royals in doubles play, thus allowing Hamline to take the 5-4 win.
Bethel now moves to 2-5 in the MIAC with a 7-9 overall record. Their next match will be against Macalester College at the Ona Orth Athletic Complex Thursday afternoon at 4:30 p.m.
