Royals Push MIAC Record To 2-5 With Victory Over Johnnies Last Week.

ARDEN HILLS, Minn.
- In the early portions of April, the Bethel Men's Tennis team took part in three conference matches against St. Thomas, Saint John's, and Concordia. Defeating the Johnnies, 5-4 on April 8, it was the Royals lone victory as they have now moved their MIAC record to 2-5 the season.

The Royals traveled to St. Joseph on April 8th the take on the Johnnies, were Kent Nichols and Reggie Ronning won matches in the #2 and #3 singles. Bryce Johnson also won his #6 singles match to help put the Royals in strong position to earn a conference win.

The #1 doubles pairing of Nichols and Ronning went on to defeat their Saint John's opponent, while David Leafblad and Sam Scheevel closed out the victory for Bethel with a win in the #3 doubles match.

The following day, the Royals were up in Moorhead, Minnesota to take on the Cobbers of Concordia College. The Royals didn't win any of their three doubles matches, thus leading to a 6-3 loss at the hand of the Cobbers. Nichols and Ronning once again defeated their opponents in the #2 and #3 singles matches, but it wasn't enough for the Royals squad.

Tucker Morris and Nichols won their matches in last night's affair against the University of St. Thomas, but after that it was all Tommies, as they won 7-2. Morris won in his #1 singles match, while Nichols won again in the #2 slot.

The Royals are now 7-8 on the season with a 2-5 MIAC record. Their next match will be against Hamline University April 18th at the Bethel Ona Orth Athletic Complex.
