BLAINE, Minn. - The Men's Hockey team gave the weekend away to the Saint Olaf College Oles. On Saturday night the score ended with a large spread of 7-2. A frustrated Royals club must now be determined to take some points away from their next opponent, St. Thomas.
The Royals went down by three goals (2 in the first, 1 in the second) before answering from
Chris Fiala from
Tyler Sorensen and
Jake Calleja. It would be another 3 goals (2 in the second, 1 in the third) before Bethel answered again with a goal from
Jon Crouse, assisted by
Chris Fiala and
Jake Calleja.
The Royals were seemingly cold as they allowed for 33 shots, 2 short-handed goals, and a total of 7 pucks in the net. They ended the evening with a loss of 7-2 and a MIAC record of 3-4-3 which is good for 5th place.
Their next series is against the University of St. Thomas on February 11th, 2011. Puck drops in the Bethel University Arena at 7:00 p.m.
