BLAINE, Minn., - The Bethel Royals Women's Hockey team took on the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Falcons Friday evening in their first home game of the season. Coming off a win the previous weekend, the Royals looked to continue against the Falcons on Friday. However their plans were hit a road block as they couldn't stop the Falcon attack and fell 5-0.
The Royals held the 6th ranked Falcon's scoreless in the first period before allowing 2 goals in the 2nd and 3 in the 3rd. The Royals had 19 shots the the Falcons 38. Sophomore
Jess Newstrom (Cambridge, Minn.) had 33 saves in the game.
The Royals will be at home again tomorrow night as they face off against St. Norbert's for the second time this year. The game begins at 3pm at Bethel arena in Blaine.
