BOX SCORE

MEQUAN, Wis. - The Bethel women were able to defeat the Concordia of Wisconsin in the second game of the year. The Royals defeated the Falcon's 3-2 thanks to a game winning goal by Allison Papko (Sr., Winnigeg, MB.) assisted by by Anna Carlson (Jr., Roseville, Minn.) and Rachel Geng (Jr., South St. Paul, Minn.)

Papko was also responsible for getting things started for the Royals, putting the puck in the net before the clock even hit the minute mark in period 1. Her goal in the first period was assisted by Biz Huss (So., Beaver Bay, Minn.)

The Falcon's were able to score one in the 2nd and 3rd periods to go up 2-1 before Huss found the net just before the 9 minute mark of the third period, which ultimately tied the game and took it into overtime.

The Royals now 1-1 on the year will host UW-River Falls this Friday at 7 p.m. for their home opener at Bethel Arena in Blaine.
