BLAINE, Minn. - The Bethel men's hockey team opened their 2010-11 campaign tonight at the MIAC Showcase. In the first day of a two day tournament the Royals took on St Thomas University. The Tommies were able to put up 7 goals compared to Bethel's 2 and come away with the victory.
For the Royals stand out sophomore
Jack Paul (Minnetonka, Minn.) scored twice on assists from Christian Fogerty (Sr., Forest Lake, Minn.),
Austin Hatch (Jr., Cloquet, Minn.), and
Mason Swenson (Jr., Eagan, Minn.). The Royals put together 27 total shots on goal, which was only 6 shots less than the Tommies who had 33. Goalie Zac Bush (So., Tyler, Tex.) had 26 saves in the match.
The Royals will return to play tomorrow for the second day of the MIAC Showcase when the compete against Concordia College at 5:30 at Fogarty Arena.
