BLAINE, Minn.
- One night after scoring a late goal to defeat Concordia, the Cobbers returned the favor, netting the game-winner with 20 seconds remaining for a 2-1 victory. The second game played out with more physicality and aggressiveness, with 19 penalties committed between the two sides.

The Royals struck first at the 6 minute mark of the first period, when Jenna Bullock (Sr., Buffalo, Minn.) snapped a wrist shot past the Cobber goalie, assisted by Missy Vavra (Fr., Minnetonka, Minn.) and Stephanie Van Guilder (Jr., Roseville, Minn.).

In the second period, the Cobbers answered with a power play goal by Kristyn Voegele, tying the game at 1-1. The score stayed tied until late in the third period, when Katelyn Dold netted the game-winner for Concordia, assisted by Kayla Hendrickson.

For the game, Bethel put 31 shots on goal to the Cobbers 43 and committed 13 penalties, including seven in the third period. Concordia was 2-10 with the advantage and the Royals were 0-4.

Jess Newstrom (Fr., Cambridge, Minn.) was strong in net for Bethel, coming up with 41 saves and Paige Lemieux (So., Fargo, N.D.) led the team with seven shots. Dold led the Cobbers with nine shots on goal.

After the loss, Bethel drops to 1-7 (1-3) and Concordia improves to 5-4 (2-2). The Royals play again this Friday, at home versus the College of Saint Benedict, beginning at 7 p.m.
