ST. PAUL, Minn. - Bethel won its third straight conference match by defeating the Macalester Scots 7-2 on their courts today.

The Royals needed just one tiebreaker set to sweep singles competition after falling behind 1-2 in doubles play.  Tom Ronning (So., Alexandria, Minn.) improved to 5-1 in MIAC match play, winning 6-1, 6-1 over Aaron Heerboth of Macalester.

Bethel is now 6-6 overall and 4-2 in the conference, while Macalester drops to 2-6 in the MIAC and 6-11 overall.  The Royals are scheduled to return to the courts this Saturday to take on Saint John's at the Ona Orth Athletic Complex, beginning at 10 a.m.
