KISSIMMEE, Fla. - The Royals climbed out to a 2-1 lead after doubles play against the Otterbein Cardinals of Ohio, but were unable to hang on after a series of hard-fought singles matches, and fell by a score of 7-2.

The tandems of Ashley Dohlen (So., Morris, Minn.) and Heather Blair (So., Glenwood, Minn.), and Kristin Kishaba (Jr., Eau Claire, Wis.) and Stefanie Erlander (Fr., Excelsior, Minn.) notched Bethel's two wins, each winning 8-2.

In singles, three of the six matches went to a tiebreaker set to determine the winner.  Unfortunately, the Royals came up short in each of them on their way to the team's third straight loss.

Bethel falls to 1-9 overall, while Otterbein improves to 4-2 on their season.  The Royals will wrap up their spring break tennis trip with a match against Webber International University on Saturday.
