ST. PAUL, Minn.
- All-MIAC forward and conference leading goal scorer, Sandra Felten (Jr., Cashton, Wis.), scored a goal to extend her scoring streak to 10 games, but the Hamline Pipers ended Bethel's season by defeating them 5-2 at Drake Arena tonight.

Although both teams had eight power play opportunities, Hamline capitalized on two of them to help them tie, then take the lead for good.  In total, the Royals were penalized 10 times for 28 minutes, while the Pipers spent just 18 minutes in the penalty box.

Bethel fell behind 1-0 early in the first period when Melanie Leveille scored her 11th goal of the season, unassisted.  Leveille would go on to earn a hat trick by scoring two more goals in the second period, but not before Bethel came back to score twice in the first 5:09 of the second period to go up 2-1.  Kassy Sullivan (Fr., Roseville, Minn.) accounted for the game tying goal, after which Felten scored on a power play with the help of Kelsea Martalock (Fr., Tomah, Wis.) to give the Royals their only lead of the night.

Leveille struck again for Hamline to tie the game on a power play opportunity at 10:01 into the second period.  She then went on to complete her hat trick with another power play goal just three minutes later.

Alli Miller scored the Pipers final two goals, an evenhanded goal and an empty netter to round out their scoring.

Bethel ends their season at 11-12-2 overall, just one victory shy of setting a new school record in a season that has seen several new records set in terms of individual performances.  The Royals will lose four seniors, but look to maintain their core of newly announced All-MIAC players, which includes Felten, Bethany Murphy-Aultman (Jr., Grand Rapids, Minn.) and Beth Spurrier (Jr., Plymouth, Minn.).
