MINNEAPOLIS
- Bethel kept it's hopes of a second MIAC playoff appearance alive by skating to a 1-1 tie with St. Catherine at Ridder Arena tonight.

Sandra Felten (Jr., Cashton, Wis.) scored her conference leading 18th goal of the season with the help of Kassy Sullivan (Fr., Roseville, Minn.) to even the score as St. Catherine's Jess Kniefel had scored a little more than a minute earlier.

Two time All-MIAC goalie Beth Spurrier recorded 20 saves on the night to keep Bethel in the game.  The Royals had a few chances to take the lead, with the best chance coming on a breakaway by Sullivan late in the third period. However, Wildcat goalie Mel Gerten made the save, one of her 35 in the game.

The tie helps Bethel gain a point in the conference standings, and keep their one point edge over St. Catherine for fifth place.  The Royals are now 7-9-1 in conference play and 10-11-2 overall.  The Wildcats move to 6-9-2 in the MIAC and 9-12-3 overall.  The same two teams will face off against each other tomorrow night at 7 p.m. at Bethel University Arena, in Bethel's final regular season home game.
