Mike Moberg (Jr., Plymouth, Minn.) scored 26 points by shooting 10-for-12 from the floor and 6-for-8 from the line to lead the visiting Royals over the Macalester Scots 88-68 in a critical conference game tonight.
Bethel entered tonight's game at 9-9 in the MIAC, needing a win to keep their hopes of a tenth straight playoff appearance alive. After trailing 44-41 at halftime, the Royals pulled away from the Scots for good with just under 16 minutes left to play. A 12-0 run spanning more than five minutes was the key to Bethel's win tonight.

Mike Moberg, it was his second double-double in a row and ninth of the season as he pulled down 10 rebounds. The starting center also had two assists, two blocked shots, and two steals. His performance was second only to Macalester's Tim Conboy, who finished the night with 30 points. No other Scot had more than seven points.
Nick Otterson (Jr., St. Paul, Minn.) chipped in 14 points, while
Tyler Brown (So., Chanhassan, Minn.) and
Tim Madson (Jr., Redwood Falls, Minn.) each had 11.
The win helps Bethel improve to 10-9 in the MIAC and 14-10 overall, while Macalester drops to 4-15 in conference play and 6-18 overall. The Royals will play their final regular season game at home on Saturday against Augsburg at 3 p.m. in the Robertson Center.
