Box Score
BLAINE, Minn. - Bethel jumped out to a 1-0 lead less than a minute and a half into their game against St. Olaf, but was held scoreless the remainder of the game and fell to the Oles by a score of 2-1.
Literally and figuratively a night and day difference from yesterday's high scoring affair that saw 12 goals, today's game saw no scoring for the last 51 minutes of the contest.
Sandra Felten (Jr., Cashton, Wis.) scored her MIAC leading 17th goal with the help of
Kassy Sullivan (Fr., Roseville, Minn.) and
Bethany Murphy-Aultman (Jr., Grand Rapids, Minn.) for Bethel's only goal.
Laura Wild helped the Oles tie the game five minutes after Felten's goal, assisted by Katie Bennett and Meghan Stumpf. The McClintick sisters, Kim and Kari, connected to score the game-winning goal at the 8:51 mark of the first.
Bethel still has an outside chance of making the playoffs, pending the results of other league action today. The loss drops them to 7-9 in the MIAC and 10-11-1 overall. St. Olaf improves to 5-10-1 in conference play and 8-14-1 overall.
