ST. PAUL, Minn.
- Bethel played their second match of the season, and first against a conference opponent at the Fred Wells Tennis and Education Center.  However, for the second straight match, the Royals fell by a score of 5-4, this time against Carleton.

Bethel took two out of three matches in the doubles competition, as Andrea Beegle (Sr., Edina, Minn.) and LeRoyce Chapman (Jr., Elk River, Minn.), along with Heather Blair (So., Glenwood, Minn.) and Ashley Dohlen (So., Morris, Minn.) claimed victories.

In singles competition, Blair defeated her opponent, as did Allison Kishaba (So., Eau Claire, Wis.).  Allison's sister Kristin Kishaba (Jr., Eau Claire, Wis.) took her opponent to a tiebreaker set, but was handed a 10-3 loss.

Bethel falls to 0-2 overall and 0-1 in MIAC play, while Carleton improves to 3-0 both in the conference and overall.  The Royals will travel to Duluth, Minn., to take on St. Scholastica next Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
