RIVER FALLS, Wis. - Although the Royals out shot their opponent 34-33, it was a hard time getting it to find the back of the net as the UW-River Falls Falcons defeated Bethel 4-1.

Scoring began early in the first period when Grant Everett of the Falcons got a goal with the help of teammate Josh Meyers 3:13 minutes into the game.  UW-River Falls held the lead for the rest of the first period, but starting it off strong, Kent Bostrom (Sr., Vadnais Heights, Minn.), assisted by Chris Fiala (Fr., Vadnais Heights, Minn.), put Bethel on the board 21 seconds into the second period to tie the game. Bostrom now has 99 points in his career at Bethel and would become the 16th Royal to reach the 100 point with his next goal or assist.

The teams continued to fight for the lead for the rest of the second, but coming out on top were the Falcons, scoring three goals in the third period. Tyler Czuba scored what proved to be the winning goal 6:08 minutes into the third,  assisted by Ben Beaudoin and Nolan Craner, as well as the final Falcon goal, unassisted, with just over a minute remaining in the game. Also scoring for the Falcons was Derek Hansberry from Tyler Pederson just under 15 minutes into the third period.

Royal Goalie, Aaron Damjanovich (Jr., Remer, Minn.) had 29 saves on the night and currently sits fifth in the MIAC in save percentages with .910.

Bethel's record is now 6-5-1 overall, while River Falls improves to 4-7-1 overall. The Royals now look to their next game, which is scheduled to take place on Dec. 13, at 7 p.m. against UW-Eau Claire at the Bethel University Arena in Blaine, Minn.
