ARDEN HILLS, Minn. - Four players scored in the double digits for the Bethel Royals as they defeated the Grand View Vikings by a score of 75-64 in order to win the Olive Garden Tip-Off Tournament championship game tonight at the Robertson Center gym.

Bethel held a 10-point or better lead for a majority of the game, but Grand View did come back late in the game to reduce their deficit to as low as six points. However, the Royals made some clutch free throws toward the end to put the game out of reach.

Mike Moberg (Sr., Plymouth, Minn.) had a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds. The 6' 9" forward also had six blocks and four assists in his 29 minutes of play. Tim Madson (Sr., Redwood Falls, Minn.) surpassed the 1,300 point mark in his career by scoring 18 points on 6-for-11 shooting from the floor and 6-for-8 shooting from the charity stripe.

Cory Laugen (Sr., Blaine, Minn.) scored 11 points, of which six came from the free throw line. Nate Robertson (Jr., Forest Lake, Minn.) also turned out a strong performance with 10 points and six rebounds in tonight's win.

Corey Viet and Rohan Greaves were the top two scorers for the Vikings with 18 and 15 points, respectively.

As a team, the Royals made more than 47 percent of their shots from the floor and out-rebounded the Vikings by a 42-30 margin.

The win gives Bethel their eighth consecutive Tip-Off Tournament championship as they improve to 3-0 on their season. Grand View returns to Des Moines, Iowa, with a 6-2 record after the loss. The Royals are scheduled to return to the court next Tuesday evening as they take on the University of Minnesota-Morris at 7:30 p.m. in the Robertson Center gym.
