NORTHFIELD, Minn.
- What goes around, comes around - so the saying goes. About a month ago, the Bethel Royals were able to do such a good job of containing the University of Dallas that they did not allow so much as a shot, let alone a shot on goal.  Today, the tables were turned as the Royals were only able to muster one shot against the Carleton Knights who went on to win 3-0.

The game started out as a highly defensive battle. It wasn't until the 35:13 mark that Abby Wills of Carleton broke a scoreless tie with an unassisted goal.

The score remained 1-0 until almost 20 minutes into the second half when Sophie Wood scored her second goal of the season for the Knights, assisted by Lily VanderStaay. Carleton tacked on one more goal at 72:16 to bring the score to it's eventual final of 3-0.

Bethel's lone shot came in the first half off the foot of Laura Billiar (Fr., St. Michael, Minn.), and they had two corner kicks in the second half, neither of which yielded any scoring opportunities.

Goalkeeper Charli Sorensen (Sr., Park Ridge, Ill.)  was kept busy during the game, facing 22 shots, of which, 12 were on goal.

Bethel's record now drops to 6-4-1 overall and 1-4-1 in the MIAC. Carleton improves to 7-4 overall and 5-2 in the conference. Bethel's next chance to end their four-game skid and five-game scoring drought is scheduled for next Tuesday when the Royals head back down to Northfield to take on St. Olaf beginning at 4 p.m.
