Box Score
NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Bethel entered tonight's game having lost four straight conference games to four out of the top five teams in the MIAC. The Royals were able to snap that streak thanks to three players scoring in the double-digits.
The Royals were led by
Erica Hormig (So., Windom, Minn.) who had a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Hormig shot 6-for-11 from the floor and 2-for-2 from the line, despite playing much of the second half with three fouls. Gabriella Gustafson (Jr., St. Louis Park, Minn.) added 13 points of her own, making it her best game since scoring 19 against Carleton more than a month ago.
Lakita Davis (Jr., Brooklyn Center, Minn.) scored 10 points in just 17 minutes by going 4-for-7 from the floor and 2-for-3 from the line.
Foul trouble limited
Annegret Nautsch (Jr., Seattle, Wash.) to just 25 minutes of playing time, but she was still able to score nine points while grabbing eight rebounds and blocking five shots. Nautsch now has 32 blocks on the season, putting her in stiff competition with Augsburg's Christa Suedbeck for the league lead.
Jamie Erdahl of St. Olaf led all scorers with 19 points. However, Erdahl shot just 6-for-17 from the floor, including 4-for-13 from the perimeter. Elyse Erickson added 17 points and six rebounds for the Oles.
Bethel improves to 3-4 in the MIAC and 6-4 overall, while St. Olaf falls to 1-6 in the conference and 2-8 overall. The Royals will continue to play on the road as they travel up to Moorhead, Minn., to take on Concordia at 1 p.m. this Saturday.
