Bethel steady in 3-1 victory against St. Mary's; win streak at eight games

BLAINE, Minn.
- The Bethel men's hockey team finished the sweep of the St. Mary's Cardinals, in 3-1 fashion Saturday night at the Schwan's Super Rink. The Royals, winners of their last eight games, scored once in each period to seal the victory. Bethel also led in shots on goal 38-24, including an 18 shot first period.

Bethel had a balanced scoring attack once again, with goals coming from Ryan Adams, Matt Hall, and Rory Dynan. Bill Menozzi also had a nice game of two assists, while Brad Peterson and Jeff Balvin finished the night with one assist each. Royal goalie Aaron Domjanovich recorded 23 saves in the win.

St. Mary's came through on one of their power play attempts thanks to Jesse Polk's second period goal. He was assisted by Kevin Eidsmo and Tony Clafton. The Cardinals'goalie, Dan Smith had a strong game making 35 stops in the loss.

Bethel improves to 14-8-1 overall, with an 11-2-1 MIAC record, while St. Mary's is now 7-15-1 overall with a 4-9-1 MIAC record. Bethel's next game is this Friday, February 23rd , as they take on St. Olaf in Northfield, Minnesota. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
