MINNEAPOLIS - The Augsburg Auggies scored two goals in the second period and two in the third to defeat the Royals 4-1 for their first win of the season.

Each of Augsburg's first three goals came by taking advantage of power play opportunities.

Whitney Ischi (Fr., Kenai, Alaska) scored Bethel's lone goal, and her first collegiate goal, with 6:42 remaining in the third period.

Beth Spurrier (Jr., Plymouth, Minn.) stopped 32 of 36 shots that came her way for the Royals.

The loss evens out Bethel's conference record at 2-2, and they drop to 3-3-1 overall.  Augsburg tallies their first conference win, and first overall win of the season making them 1-3 in the MIAC and 1-7 overall.  Bethel will face off against St. Benedict next Friday at 7 p.m. at home for the first game of their weekend series.
