BLAINE, Minn. - The Royals got three goals and two assists from
Sandra Felten (Jr., Cashton, Wis.) on their way to a 6-2 win over the Augsburg Auggies at Bethel University Arena.
Felten scored one goal in each period, giving her four for the season.
Julien Olson (Sr., Minneapolis, Minn.) also boosted her season goal total to four by scoring the first goal of the game, then adding another in the second period.
Miriam Paas (Jr., Toronto, Ontario) notched her first goal of the season midway through the third period to round out Bethel's scoring.
Augsburg's Erin Leyden tied the score at 1-1 with her first period goal, and Tiffany Magnuson narrowed Bethel's lead to 4-2 with her unassisted goal early in the third period.
Beth Spurrier (Jr., Plymouth, Minn.) stopped 33 of the 35 shots she faced tonight for the Royals.
The win gives Bethel back-to-back conference wins, making them 2-1 in MIAC play and 3-2-1 overall. Augsburg drops to 0-3 in the conference and 0-7 overall. The same two teams will face off again tomorrow night at 7:05 p.m. at the Augsburg Ice Arena in Minneapolis.
