Box Score
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. - Kristin Faber's power play goal with four seconds left in the 2nd period was enough to put UW Eau Claire up for good on their way to a 3-1 win over Bethel at the Hobbs Ice Center.
Kassy Sullivan (Fr., Roseville, MN) also scored on a power play in the 2nd period, with the help of captain Amy Beitzel (Sr., Apple Valley, MN). Unfortunately, it would not be enough as Blugold goalie Danika Porter stopped each of the Royals other 16 shots on goal.
Beth Dittrich scored unassisted, and Christine Dickinson scored with the help of Maddi Hammer for Eau Claire's other two goals.
All-conference goaltender Beth Spurrier (Jr., Plymouth, MN) had 25 saves for the Royals.
The loss evens Bethel's record at 1-1-0, while the Blugold move to 1-1-0 as well. The Royals return home to Bethel University Arena to take on Concordia-Milwaukee next Friday night at 7 p.m.
