Nautsch scores 28, Royals trample Cougars 86-59

ARDEN HILLS, Minn. – Royals co-captain and center Annegret Nautsch (Jr., Seattle, Wash.) scored 28 points and had 12 rebounds to lead Bethel over visiting University of Minnesota Morris 86-59.

Shari Laugen (So., Blaine, Minn.) and Gabriella Gustafson (Jr., St. Louis Park, Minn.) both tacked on 11 points in the win as well.

The Cougars were led by Tynell Kocer with 13 points, and Diane Blommel with 11.

The game also marked the return of Bethel co-captain Kiersten Hansen (So., Eden Prairie, Minn.) who had been sidelined due to an injury for the Royals exhibition game against St. Cloud State and also their season opener against the University of Sioux Falls.

Bethel improves to 2-0 on the season and will play their first conference game on the road against St. Catherine on Wednesday, November 28.  Morris drops to 1-2 overall with the loss.
