Penny Foore enters her 12th year as the Royals head softball coach in 2024-25. In her tenure she has led Bethel to three MIAC regular season championships, two NCAA regional championships and two Super Regional appearances.
Foore was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director in addition to her coaching duties in August 2024. In the role she provides oversight of event management including communication with opponents, event management personnel and ticketing.

• In 2019 recorded single-game records in hits (23 vs. Minnesota Morris on Mar. 22), ties for RBIs (23 vs. UMN-Morris on Mar. 22), tied doubles (6 vs. St. Scholastica on Mar. 4 and vs. UMN-Morris on Mar. 22).
• Led the nation in ERA (1.03) and Strikeout-to-Walk Ratio (10.17) in 2023.

• Served as head coach of USSSA Pride which has produced three NPF Cowles Cup Championships and nine Olympians
• Was the pitching coach for Scrap Yard Fast Pitch in 2018, working with the likes of Monica Abbott, Carley Hoover, Cheridan Hawins, Lauren Haeger, Dallas Escobedo, Kilee Hanson, and Holly Ward
• Became the first NCAA DIII coach to coach in the National Fastpitch Pro League as an assistant with the Texas Charge in the summer of 2017
• Helped NCAA DI Appalachian State to first conference championship in school history in 2013
• Appalachian State broke school record for wins in a season and held the best home record in all of NCAA DI at 18-0 in 2013
• Appalachian State broke records in 11 different hitting categories in tenure as a hitting specialist
• Held a 108-28 career record in six seasons as head coach at Bloomington Jefferson High School (Minnesota)
• Three-time Lake Conference Coach of the Year at Bloomington Jefferson
• Elected as a Minnesota High School AAA All-Star Coach in 2012

• Five years of experience as a math teacher at Shakopee Junior High (Minnesota) and Watauga County Schools (North Carolina)
