Last Thursday, Bethel softball pitcher Rebecca Akerson (Jr., Lakeville, Minn.) posted her fourth complete game shutout of the season in a 12-0 win over Carleton. Akerson is the first Royal pitcher in at least 10 years to earn more than three shutouts in one season. Akerson is currently 8-5 overall and has pitched 11 complete games this season.
