Carlson was instrumental in Bethel's week that saw the team go 2-0 and clinch their third conference playoff berth in the last four seasons. On Saturday night, Carlson had a hand in each of Bethel's three goals, including the game-winner in overtime. On the first goal, she notched her 17th assist, which is good for second best in the conference. She then went on to put Bethel up 2-1 with her first goal of the season. At 1:37 into the overtime period, Carlson struck again with her second goal of the game and the season, lifting the Royals to a 3-2 win. Carlson is the top scoring defender, second highest scoring freshman, and fifth highest scorer in conference play. In addition, she has the second highest point total among defenders in the nation.
