Hinrichs, who previously broke a 33-year old school record set by Bethel athletic hall of fame member Larry Caldwell ('77) this season, broke his own record by nearly three seconds with a time of 3:50.15 at the Last Chance Qualifier hosted by UW-La Crosse on Thursday. His time catapults him from his current #20 position on the national performance list to the top 10 for the moment, and gives him an NCAA automatic qualifying time.
