Travis Adams (Sr., Chanhassen, Minn./Minnetonka) became just the second pitcher to throw a complete game shutout against St. Thomas in the last three seasons on Saturday, March 28, as the Royals upset the #17 Tommies 1-0 in the first game of the conference season-opening doubleheader. The left hander allowed just five hits while striking out four batters and walking none. Adams stranded five St. Thomas runners in scoring position, including runners on second and third base with no outs to start the fifth inning. The win over St. Thomas is the first for Bethel since the 2006 season, and is the first shutout of the Tommies in more than 10 years.
