Eric Rhode (Jr., Oakdale, Minn.) finished in sixth place at the 2009 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field National Championship meet, thus giving him the title of All-American. Rhode finished with a time of 49.36 seconds at the meet, hosted by the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, a mere .01 seconds off his personal best time. This is Rhode's first individual All-American honor as the top seven finishers in each race earn NCAA All-American status.
