Athletic Training Room Policies

As members of the Bethel University Sports Medicine Team, we want to provide the very best care possible to our athletes.  To help facilitate this, we ask that the athletes follow a few simple rules.

1.    No cleated shoes allowed in the training room.
2.    Do not bring equipment or personal bags into the training room that is not required for treatment.
3.    No training room equipment or supplies leave the training room unless checked out to the athlete.
4.    Whenever possible, athletes must shower prior to coming in for treatment after practice. (Athletes must shower prior to using cold/warm whirlpools!)
5.    Please help keep the training room clean and sanitary.
6.    Athletes must be prompt for treatment and doctor appointments.  If an appointment cannot be kept, at least 24 hour notice to the athletic training staff is requested.
7.    No food or drink is allowed in the training room.
8.    All treatments and rehabilitation are prescribed by the medical staff, and not by athletes or coaches.
9.    Minnesota State Law prohibits the dispensing of prescription and/or over-the-counter medications by an athletic trainer.  Therefore, only physicians or nurses may dispense medications.
10.    The training room is not a lounge or a health club.  Please keep out unless you have business related to athletic injuries.
