Bethel Announces Spring Spectator Policy

Bethel University will welcome spectators to outdoor events that take place on the Bethel University campus. All spectators are expected to follow masking and social distancing guidelines as established by the MIAC. Each visiting team will be allotted a set number of spectators per sport. Visiting teams will facilitate the list of their allotted spectators for any game at Bethel University and return the list to Bethel game management by 5 p.m. the day prior the game. Concession stands will not be available to fans.

Per MIAC policy, volleyball will not be hosting spectators. Bethel soccer games are currently scheduled to take place at off-campus or opponent facilities and spectator protocols for soccer will be updated as they become available. All home games will be streamed live on the BU Royals Sport Network.

Ona Orth Athletic Complex

Softball 

  • Bethel University student-athletes and coaches will each be allotted three tickets.
  • Visiting teams will be permitted to have 30 spectators that have registered with their contact information.
  • All spectators are required to check in with game personnel at the bottom of the entrance to the Ona Orth Parking Lot.
  • All bleachers will be reserved for teams to use for social distancing and for game personnel.
  • Spectators will be allowed to sit anywhere beyond the outfield fence and are encouraged to bring their own chairs.
  • Handicap parking (with valid sticker) will be in the Ona Orth Parking Lot. All other spectators will be directed to park on the Bethel Campus in the West Lot and walk to the field. Spectators can drop off those requiring assistance in Ona Orth Lot and then proceed to park in the West Lot.
  • Fans are asked to immediately leave the park following the conclusion of the game.

 

Men's and Women's Tennis

  • Bethel University student-athletes and coaches will each be allotted three tickets.
  • Visiting teams will be permitted to have 20 spectators that have registered with their contact information.
  • All spectators are required to check in with game personnel at the bottom of the entrance to the Ona Orth Parking Lot.
  • Follow guidelines for available bleacher seating. Fans are encouraged to bring their own chairs.
  • Handicap parking (with valid sticker) will be in the Ona Orth Parking Lot. All other spectators will be directed to park on the Bethel Campus in the West Lot and walk to the field. Spectators can drop off those requiring assistance in Ona Orth Lot and then proceed to park in the West Lot.
  • Fans are asked to immediately leave the park following the conclusion of the game.

Hargis Park

Baseball

  • Bethel University student-athletes and coaches will each be allotted three tickets.
  • Visiting teams will be permitted to have 30 spectators that have registered with their contact information.
  • All spectators are required to check in with game personnel at the entrance of Hargis Park.
  • Spectators will be allowed to sit in designated areas of the bleachers behind home plate, along the third base line, and outside of the outfield fence. Spectators are encouraged to bring their own chairs as seating is not available in the outfield.
  • Portion of the bleachers will be reserved for the visiting team roster to use for social. distancing. Barrier will separate this space and prevent spectators from entering the area.
  • Parking is available in the West Lot, and Heritage Lot on the Bethel campus. Handicap parking (with valid sticker) will be available in the Sports and Recreation Center Lot.
  • Fans are asked to immediately leave the park following the conclusion of the game.
