MINNEAPOLIS--The Royals finished fourth at Saturday morning's Augsburg Open, topping Wisconsin-River Falls and the host Auggies. Evan Hatton led the Bethel contingent, completing the 5K in a time of 16:32, good for sixth place overall.

"I saw an excited group of guys today," said head coach Joe Stephens. "Our young team knew we weren't racing a full squad, so I'm especially proud of them for competing aggressively from the start."

Anders Rasmussen finished eighth overall, running 16:37.5. Andy Barnhart (22nd, 17:07.4), David Huffman (25th, 17:11.1) and Taylor Huffman (30th, 17:20.8) rounded out the scoring portion of Bethel's team.

The Royals return to action Saturday, Sept. 17 at St. Olaf in Northfield.
