Lindy's Preseason Release ARDEN HILLS, Minn.—In the latest NCAA Division III football preview, Lindy's Sports magazine has recognized Bethel University as the No. 4 team in their nationwide Top 25 preseason poll. This is the second Top 6 preseason ranking the Royals have received in the past week, as BU was touted as the No. 6 team according to Sporting News magazine.
Within their brief analysis of each Top 25 team, Lindy's is quoted with this statement, "
Erik Peterson was one of the nation's most efficient passers last season."
The Royals are behind three other teams within the poll, including 2013 national championship opponents UW-Whitewater and Mt. Union, along with NCAA Division III semifinalist Linfield College (Ore.).
Bethel's streak of being ranked in the Top 25 continues—a tenure that has exi since October 9, 2010, after the Royals topped Saint John's University at home 17-14.
The No. 4 ranking is the highest ranking Bethel has held since ending the 2007 season 12-2 with its first-ever NCAA Division III West Region championship.
